Minimizing travelling costs in the UK

Hi members,

As you all know travelling is so expensive in the UK. I want to know if there is any cheaper option for me to get to office from my home.

I need to travel daily from Leicester to London and I am using the National Rail for that (which includes tube travel as well).

I have to pay ~273 pounds for a week's travel (Mon-Fri) or ~900 for a month's (I can't afford buying annual ticket)

None of the discounted fares seem to apply for me. I am 33 years.

Is there any other way I can travel cheaper that this? (Please don't suggest living near London).

Thanks
