Is meeting not allowed?

Guys/Moderators,
I posted a message here to new arrivals on T1 in UK, suggesting that we meet for coffee sometime just to get to know each other etc, given all of us are new here and all of us don't necessarily have friends or family here, and all are in kind of simmilar situation.
But that I see has been deleted. Is meeting of members through here not allowed? I couldn't find it in any guadance notes either??
Pls. advise.
