Switching to Global Talent Visa Before PhD Completion – Full-Time Study Status?

I’m a full-time PhD student nearing my viva, in my third year now. My university considers me full-time student until I fully finish and receive my certificate. If I switch to a Global Talent Visa before completing my PhD, can I continue studying full-time? Do I need any confirmation from the university, and what steps should I take?
Thank you in advance

You can continue studying with a Global Talent visa.
A PhD is not required to apply for a GTV.
What do you mean with confirmation from the university? What route are you applying for?

Thank you for your answer. I meant on Global talent visa we can work full time, at the same time can we study full time? As a confirmation, I thought maybe I would need to inform university or obtain some permission? I applied with route 3, with an endorsement by UKRI.

Yes, you can study full time with a GTV.
I guess you only need to inform the university's international students office about your new status once your GT visa is approved, as they no longer will be your sponsor.
