The question is... are they really genuine? Do they offer job guarantee? what are the catches?
I'd say they are a bit of a waste of time. 99 times out of 100 any employer I've experience of would go for experience over education.
I've been in IT for donkeys years, in Unix mainly Solaris and I've haven't a certificate or course to my name! All learned on the job and at home. For example I did my Sun Cluster stuff with a clutch of old Sparcs and array or two - taught me more than any course led by a guy going through the manuals on an overhead projector.....
So my advice would be to get a job at ground level in IT, something not PC related, Unix is good, Oracle DBA too, get some cheap second hand kit at home and use it, build it it, destroy it and break it. Then a bit of artistic CV-writing and your moving up the ladder and the pay scale.
