One bit of advice: Make sure that at all times you refrain from mentioning the reason for your trip is to seek employment. BIA (the UK Immigration & Border Control authority) can deny you entry if they feel you present a 'risk' for working illegally or potentially overstaying your visit visa.

If you happen to accidentally locate an employment offer while on vacation in the UK ... then good fortune on you.
