No it is definitely NOT allowed. No work at all, paid or unpaid.

This a very clearly stated on the ukvi website.

Please mention for which country. Work is not allowed on a Visitor Visa (subclass 600) in Australia. This visa is intended for tourism, visiting family or friends, and other short-term non-work purposes. If your mother wants to work while in Australia, she would need to apply for a different type of visa that permits employment, such as a Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) visa or another suitable work visa.

This is a UK immigration forum, not Australian and the member is quite clearly asking for advice on a UK visitor visa application.

Please desist from trawling through the threads and giving random answers which have no relevance.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
