When can I apply for my future wife's visa?

I am currently on ILR and will be getting married in 5 months time. I have the list of requirements for applying for my spouses visa.
The only thing which I need clarification on is that whether I can apply for her visa immediately after our marriage or is there a waiting period before I can apply. Off course I will have all the documents ready with me including my payslips,employer letter, bank statements, marriage certificate. I am a home owner so can provide the proof of accommodation as well and also an English language test result for my wife.

There is no waiting period after the marriage. There may be a waiting period after submitting the application.

By waiting period after the application you mean the processing time and not any other waiting period after marriage?
