Where can I find affordable immigration advice online

Post by John_S » Fri Sep 07, 2012 8:55 pm

My family is considering immigrating from the United States to the UK, but we need specific advice from an immigration expert regarding our situation. Are there any good online services that are free or at an affordable price where we can get advice from a UK immigration expert? We would prefer to get the advice online rather than by phone, if possible, as we live outside the UK.

Well you can begin by asking questions here; that would be free. If you outline your current circumstances, income and savings, potential work in the UK, members of this forum can easily guide you on the basics.

You did not ask the right questions...

It would help if you provide further details of your circumstances as Lucapooka mentioned.

I'm not interested in asking my specific questions on here. I need to speak to an immigration expert about my specific situation. Basically I am trying to get my American wife over to the UK, but we have a difficult situation. One of our problems is that I have disabilities which limit my ability to work. I'm looking for an affordable service where I can get some expert advice through email or messaging instead of by phone.

Hi John

Sorry if I have come across a bit arrogant in my previous post.

I think it would be benefiecial for you to detail your circumstances here on the forum and allow experienced forum members to help you through the process. The reason I am saying this is because the help you need (online and text based) can only be considered on the forum. I am not sure if any organisation would be willing to help you this way and when you are asking for reliable and value for money...

People would go to CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau) to get further help and recommendations, but they may not be able to help you as you are not in the UK.

Hope this helps.
