ILR for 3 different UK Visas in 5 years

Post by mybruce0520 » Thu Nov 15, 2012 12:43 pm

Dear Sir/Madam

I first arrived in UK on 1 February 2008 on a working permit. Is there a possibility that I can apply for ILR on 7 January 2013 which is less than 28 days of my 5 years in the UK? I have 3 different UK visas. Below are my UK Visas:

1) Visa Work Permit - January 2008 to December 2010
2) Tier 1 General Migrant - April 2009 to April 2012
3) Visa Spouse from an ILR - May 2012 to August 2014

Before my Tier 1 General Migrant visa expired, I left UK in March 2012 and return in June 2012. I am unemployed but I worked in UK for more than 4 years from February 2008 to February 2012.

Thank you for the assistance.

The earliest you may apply for settlement is 28 days before the 2nd anniversary of your entry in the UK as a spouse of a settled person.

Dear Sushdmehta

Thank you for the reply. I have been looking for a job since June 2012 here in UK but no luck. I am now thinking of going back to Asia to work. My wife will continue to stay in UK and I will visit her using my Spouse Visa. If I will work permanently in Asia, what can I do once my Spouse Visa expires in August 2014?

Thank you again for the assistance.

Apply for entry clearance afresh, if you are outside the UK when the current leave expires.

Dear Sushdmehta

I want to stay in the UK until 28 days before the 2nd anniversary of my entry in the UK but I have no luck of finding a job since June 2012.

1) How many days in total I am allowed outside the UK before I can apply for the ILR? How about per travel?

2) How much is the minimum UK salary? What is the requirement of the pay slips, do the authorities need the last 12 months before the 28 days of my 2nd anniversary?

Thank you again for the assistance.
