Hi All,
I just want to share my experience with everyone.
I applied for a Tier 2 Dependant Visa back in April 2013 which was refused. My partner who is in the UK appealed against the decision and the documents reached the Embassy end of June. I didn't wait for my partner's documents to reach the Embassy, but I also sent copies of what has been sent to the Tribunal in the U.K. so the embassy had it before it reached to them
We waited for a month to get a response but no one was really telling us what is happening. So what my partner did is he wrote to the UK Ambassador of the Country and told him how he feels like he has been dealing with an agency from a third-world country. The following day we received an email on 23rd of July from the EMbassy saying that ECM will now be reviewing the case. On the 24th of July we received an email asking for my passport and this was sent back to me yesterday 2nd of August.
This is my timeline:
Tier 2 Application: 14th April 2013
Refusal: 24th April 2013
Appealed: 10th May 2013
Notification of Appeal: 11th June 2013
Received at the Embassy: 26th June 2013
Wrote to the Ambassador: 22 July 2013
Decision overturned: 23rd July 2013
Passport requested: 24th July 2013
Visa stamped and received: 2nd August 2013
So, I think if you write a strong letter to the Ambassador then it might work. Sorry, I cannot show the template of the letter but basically just complain about the service you have received from them and it does not feel like it is coming from an agency serving the Great Britain and how proud you are to be a citizen or resident of one of the best countries in the world. Then talk about your situation and why the ECM should look at it. Ask for your 15 mins of reconsideration.
I hope this helps
