Applying for mothers visitor visa

I am on Tier 1 visa in UK. I will become eligible for PR in February 2014. I fulfill all the conditions for PR so I am confident I will get PR. My mother is planning to visit me in December 2013. This will be her first visit to UK. She will be applying for a six month visa in the month of November.
Since my current visa expires in February 2014 will my mother be granted a visitor visa only until February 2014 or for entire six months till April.

Your mother will apply for a general visitor visa which, if granted, is valid for 6 months. It has nothing to do with your visa dates.
