switching from T1 general to indefinate leave

Post by asimmehmood_101 » Fri Aug 23, 2013 1:33 am

Dear Members,
im seeking your valuable advice regarding me and my 2 dependants, who joined me in 10-2011,
for extension of further leave to remain , which we are going through in near future. as you can find out from the subject of this message that soon im
going to switch from my currtent status ( T1- Generla with expiry in dec 2013) to ILR (indefinate leave to remain) . I got few queries to be solved with your help if possible. assuming my application for indefinate leave to remain in process

under what immigration category my dependants have to file their further leave to remain,
what is the rquired form and what are the requirements have
to fulfill to make an application.
Thanks

See also Got ILR - Should Wife go for FLR (M) or SET (M).

Assuming you are apply for ILR under Tier 1 (General):

Dependants may apply for ILR with/after you between 10-2013 or 12-2013 (up to 28 days prior to completion of dependants' 2 year qualifying period and before expiry of leave).

If your dependants' leave expires prior to when they are eligible for ILR, then they may apply for extensions as PBS dependants.

Your dependants may initially switch to FLR(M) before expiry of leave, under the transitional provisions. Request that they process the application after yours is decided.

English language and rules before 9th July 2012 applicable.
