Changes in Acceptable correspondance for leave to remain

Post by grimnov » Thu Oct 17, 2013 1:43 pm

Hi

Please I need clarification with the new FLR M form for leave to remain after 2 year probational period with my wife.

The old form only mentions 6 correspondances 3 from each partner

the new form states

For example - 4 items of correspondence in joint names to the same address and 2 items addressed to each partner at the address. In total 8 items submitted.

If you and your partner have no bills or correspondence in joint names you will need to submit 12 items (6 each) or correspondence, evidencig that you reside together at the same address.

My question : are this correspondences meant to be from different sources, what if I have bills in our names from 2013 and none from 2012 .

I presume I am meant to apply with the new form when I make my application and not the old form ?

Because the immigration rule states those that applied bfore 9 July 2012 m the old rule still applies to them

Please can someone clarify this for Me . Thanks

Further details regarding the circumstances are needed. What is the applicant's current leave? What is the spouse's/civil partner's/partner's current immigration status?

If your spouse has completed 2 years as a spouse with spouse leave, then s(he) can apply to settle on SET(M) so long as s(he) meets the requirements including KoLL - LIUK.
