EEA3/EEA4

Post by nat88 » Wed May 16, 2007 4:05 pm

Hello,
Just wonder if anyone can help us. We submitted our EEA3/EEA4 at the beginning of October 2006. In two weeks we received absolutely identical 2 acknowledgement letters. It is already nearly 7,5 months since HO is considering the appl andkeeping all our original documents.
My wife is non-eu citizen. Her employer is drastically concerned about her rights to work in the UK as the acknowledgement letter clearly states that the application will be considered within 6 months, therefore she will need to provide her employer with a document that she is eligible to continue her employment.
I am very well aware about “ 6 months rulesâ€

Why does she need to provide the employer another document that she can work?
The rule is if you have the right to work, you can continue to work until a decision is made. Why? because you need to carry on and it might take them longer than expected.
