EEA FAMILY PERMIT - Help!

Post by dutchess1 » Mon May 21, 2007 3:57 pm

Hello,

I am a holder of a EU passport and have been living/working in the UK for three years. I am currently engaged and soon to marry an Australian guy who is living in the UK and at the end of his working Visa. After marrying, we want to apply for the EEA Family Permit though it seems as though we're unable to do this from the UK. Does this mean he/we will have to go to Australia to apply?

If anybody has any information on this it would be extremely helpful...

Thank you!

Which EU passport do you hold and where are you planning to get married?

Once you get married, your partner should send in the application for the Residence Card using the EEA2 form. No need to get the EEA Family Permit if you are getting married here.

Thank you very much for your help..

I did however read somewhere that you can't change from a workling Visa to a Spouse Visa, is this application the same thing?

Sorry also I've never had a reason to get myself a residence stamp in my Visa, will I need to get one before he submits the EEA2 form?
