No response on my visa application - Submitted in May2014

Hi,

I submitted my visa application in first week of May 2014 in order to join my husband who is currently residing in UK.

As per acknowledgement email the application package was recieved at UK visa section Sheffield two days after the submission.

It is now 13th Week after the submission and I haven't heard anything from them with regards to status of my visa application.

I have even checked UK visa processing time on thier website and related service seems to be unavailable since 25th July 2014, I am now bit concerned whom should I contact or what should I do
as within the acknowledgement email they haven't provided any contact detail.

I would appreciate if a suggestion is provided on above matter.

Visas are taking at least 3 months to process in Sheffield non-priority. You can upgrade to priority.

After 6 months, you can get your MP involved.

Your situation is not unique as processing times have increased by a lot in Sheffield in recent months. Patience is a virtue.

Well i guess its true that All applications sent to Sheffield now takes alot of time, its now 12 weeks since i submitted also and nothing yet since biometric taken. Dont worry, we will get a POSITIVE news soon.
