Spouse Visa

Post by Muhammad Shoaib » Tue Aug 19, 2014 2:48 pm

I am in the UK at the moment on the spouse visa which was issued 4/9/2013 this visa expires on 4/12/2015 I have been issued a spouse visa for 27 months but I have been told that the visa is supposed to be a total of 30 months? So I've got the visa for 3 months less? I have been searching on the internet and i found that i have to apply for ILR, is this right? If you could let me know what I now need to do that would be great. Thanks. :D :D :D :D

At the end of the 27 months (before the visa expiry date) you will have to apply for another 2.5 years extension on form FLR(M).
At the end of your 5 year probationary period you will qualify for ILR assuming you meet all the conditions.
Going by your visa issue date I'm assuming you applied for your spouse visa after 9th July 2012.

Hi

I have similar status and was wondering if anyone can help me. Because I am very confused what to do .My details are as under:
I came to Uk on Spousevisa for Pakistan .
Date of issue of 5.09.2012.
Issued for 27 months with expiry of 5.12.2014.
Date of entry in UK 24.11.2012.
Applied in april 2012 for spouse Visa.

I came to Uk before 90 days of my date of issue of visa.If somebody can tell me do I apply for a extension for 2 years before the expiry of my visa or an Indefinite leave to remain. My husband had indefinite leave to remain when i came here. Now he is a British national and my 11month baby has also got a british nationality.

I will be very thankful if someone can guild me cause if I have to apply for ILR than do I have t o pass theLife in UK test and the language test ??????

An early response by anyone will be very appreciated ................CauseI have to prepare for these test aswell.

Regards

Hi,

You'll have to apply for an extension just before the current visa expire to complete the 5 years before you can apply for ILR.

Hope this helps.

This is incorrect as he applied before the rules changed in July 2012.
Aiza you can apply for ILR just before the visa expires.

I am not sure why anyone who applied after July 2012 would obtain a 27 month visa even from in the UK, as the FLR (M) for partners is usually 30 months.

Aziza has not said when she applied . If it was after the 9th July 2012, then she falls under the new rules.

We only know she was issued 0n the 5th September, 2012, and that all.

Aiza was granted leave to enter for 27 months, meaning that the spouse falls under Part 8 of the rules. The spouse can apply for SET(M) from 28 days before 24.11.2014. B1 English and LIUK required.

More than that - they rather explicitly said it ...
Applied in april 2012 for spouse Visa.
