It appears even the Telegraph is angry about the New Rules. At least when it has effect on their readers, who incidentally happen to be mostly Caucasian and Middle Class, and some educated UKIP wolves in sheep clothing.

Sigh!I still believe if most of us had voted,we wouldn't be in this mess now.Haven't got problem with the rule but find it discriminatory that an EU spouse can come in freely while even though a British,your spouse can't.
You then apply and that will take months with the uncertainty of the outcome. It's just crazy to be honest. You want to control immigration by excluding people who can't claim benefit if they come here (non EU) then allow people who can come freely and claim?

That is a myth. EU citizen cannot come to the UK and claim benefit on the same day, it is just utter rubbish.

Just like UK citizens can go to a country like Denmark with a crazy family immigration policy, or go to Netherlands and avoid the integration test, it is the same way an EU citizen can come here.

Just like there are 2 million Brits living in the EU, it is the same way, we have 1.9 million EU citizen living her.

There can be no comparison. It is utterly crazy to compare the treaty obligation of the UK with the unlawful and family unfriendly and dearly beloved provision in appendix FM, which is designed to have the most drastic effect from people who originate from their so called Non- english Majority country, the actual meaning of that word remains unclear to me.

Yeah you're right Obie,they can't claim same day but they definitely have far more right than someone from non EU countries, non EU can't even claim anything legally.
The law is just discriminatory to non EU family members. They should just make a law that it is illegal to marry from outside UK or EU,then we'll understand.

I think we can agree on that. The government should make its position clear, that they are seeking to preserve the gene pool and prevent it from contamination.

That British should be banned from Marrying non-British or someone outside from EU.

As ghastly, repugnant and abhorrent as the apartheid regime in South Africa were, at least the people knew where they stood. Total ban on interracial marriages.

It is about time this government end this shameful charade and make their position clear.

At least we know for a fact, that they are nothing as remotely close to being family friendly.

If contrary to my view, they are family friendly, i will hate to see what a non-family friendly government will look like.
