Visa4 uk - help me please URGENT

Hi ,
I am applying for a visa I am a British citizen and my husband is Egyptian . The visa is for my husband

The online form is somewhat different to the Personal details form VAF4A. I HAVE SPENT £100 talking to the UKIV and am getting mixed information .

Could someone please clarify a few things for me .

Family Details - it asks about the spouse/Partner then goes on about Mother /Father which I have been told is the Applicants parents and not the sponsors ? is this correct ?
Right underneath that there is a question asking "do you have any dependent children I have answered yes to that as I have a 4 year old child whom is my child - now is this question again for him or for me ???

I really need advice as I intend on paying for this on Friday I have stopped started , nothing seems easy I am at the end of my tether please could someone advise ?

Hi,

Your problem is that you are viewing this as though YOU are applying for the visa. In fact, it is your husband (the non-EU national) who applies for the visa. All questions should be answered as though he is answering them because it should be him answering them.

which is exactly what I have been doing , hence I filled in a rough copy first , though the form is pretty much idiot guide and easy when online it seems unreal , when you call them they all give different information. so that why i.e the spouse partner is about me and then it goes on about his parents and if there are any dependent children I have one he doesn't so what would I put there I know I probably sound like an idiot but I don't get it .... frustrated asking these people

Mostly, the people on the help line don't know the rules. It is common to get bad advice.

Answer questions from his perspective! Wait... why isn't he filling it out? He will need to send it, especially if he is outside the UK. If he doesn't have kids, he has zero dependents!!!

Thanks ......we do the visa together and we log on together though I couldn't understand it so I couldn't explain it to him but I see what your saying and thank you for that advice its because of you we have been able to fulfil it correctly wish me luck xxxxxx
