Claiming long residence

Post by arewaa » Thu Aug 13, 2015 7:41 pm

hello everyone . I will be grateful if any advice can be given to this matter of mine . I have a partner that has been in uk for 14 YRS. all is his families are here of which his muam and dad and 3 siblings are british citizen His father died 3 years ago and was buried in this country . However , the problem is that when he went to the lawyer 8 years ago , the lawyer said he was going to use a 20 YEARS rule for him of which is now it is a big problem for him . He has been signing for the past one year . 2 months ago he was detained when he went to sign at london bridge and but will all review was put in to stop him been deported . but few days ago he was let out on temporary release . Today, a letter came in that he has been refused again as there was not showing that he has been here for 20 years. Now the lawyer told him again that he would need to put in section 120 with another money going everytime he does that . we have tried to consult other lawyers but all they are telling him is to go and get married and have a child with a british . My question is can a new application be sent in showing the real years he has used ? or what can be done ? please help as this is really draining me day by day. i am tired , ran out of ideas , and each time he goes and sign is no hope he will come back home .Pls help me .maybe any suggestion will unblock my thoughts .

Your immigration status? Length of relationship? Age of partner? Any children?

It is not the 'right lawyer' that will make him eligible, but your partner's situation that will determine his eligibility for a visa or not.

Are you married? Have you been living in a relationship 'akin to marriage' for two years? He might be able to become your dependent...

Do you intend on leaving the UK before your Tier 4 expires? Is there another country you could all live in?
