Question regarding Sponsorship SU07/12 form

Post by Samar85 » Mon Sep 14, 2015 2:20 pm

Dear all,

I am completing a sponsorship form SU07 for my wife to join me in the UK (she is outside of the EEA).

Page 1 of the form is quite straightforward, I just need to complete personal details.

But Page 2... do I need to get this signed by someone else? It says 'For official use only' and is supposed to be signed by 'a person being authorised to make this certificate on behalf of the Secretary of State'. Do I need to take the SU07 to a lawyer to get it signed?

Thanks in advance

Leave the second page and sign page 1
you dont need to complete sponsorship undertaking form as its only for bringing adult dependent as in family members.

but no harm in completing it

Yeah, technically I don't need to complete it. But having read other people's experiences on here, it seems that sometimes that Entry Clearance Officers at VSF centres in India occasionally do ask for it (although they're not supposed to).

Thanks for your reply.
