ETS TOEIC/TOEFL for FLR(m) extension

Has anyone got experience of apply for their second flr(m) and they used ETS TOEIC/TOEFL when they applied for their first visa.

My wife's visa is due for renewal in February 2017. We have plenty of time to take another test if she needs to, but when we applied for the first flr(m) her application was delayed because of the English test. So while it was on hold she took the Cambridge PET, then a week before her results arrived (she passed at level B1) her visa was approved.

If we don't need to take another test do we use the TOEIC test as that was the one we submitted with her previous application, or use the PET, but that wasn't the one that was used (she just took it while her visa was on hold). Could they have approved it because her results came out?

Do not use TOEIC. Likely her extension application might be put delayed again.
