Applied for further leave to remain 14 after permit expired

Hi guys,

I applied for a further leave to remain under the parent (5 year route). This is my second application as the first 30 months expired.

I am a bit worried mainly because I applied 14 days after my biometric permit expired due to financial difficulties. I read somewhere that you can apply within 28 days after visa expires.

Visa expired 22nd of March 2016

Applied 5th of April 2016 By special delivery

Application received at Durham 6th of April 2016

Application fee of £811 taken out from account 21st of April 2016


Now my question is -- As the fee was deducted from my account after the 28 days grace period is past will the case worker reject my application when the application is sent from Durham to Sheffield to a case worker?
