Use one income meeting financial requirement?

Post by Excellency » Mon Sep 12, 2016 12:05 am

Hi,

I just got my ILR so I am applying spouse visa for my wife now. I have got two quick questions:

Can I just use my salary only in the application form (my salary is enough) and leave her job information blank? she is working but it is hard to provide salary proof. But I can get all the proof easily.

6x proof of address with joint name is just for spouse visa renewal not for initial application. Am I right?

Hi thank you for your reply.

My wife will apply from within UK. Actually she has been staying with me for the past eight years always holding a dependant visa to me (I was holding student, PSW, tier two general).

Thanks.

You need to list your wife's work pay etc. But if only relying on your salary to meet the financial requirement, you only need to submit your payslips and bank statements.

Understood.

Thank you.

How about 6 proof of address? My understanding is that this requirement is for extension not for initial application.

That's correct ... The 6/12 documents is only for the spouse visa extension

Yes, I did get my ILR based on long residence. Will this make difference for her application?

Should I include some proof of address (although not 6/12) anyway to prove our relationship? Sound weird since she was granted dependant visa for three times while she was staying here.
