my boyrfriend has been deported - our rights

Post by claud1234 » Sun Oct 09, 2016 5:53 pm

I'm a british uk citizen and he is Kurdish ( born in iran) but previously lived in Italy and has Italian passport
we obviously plan on getting married and having a family when this is all sorted.

he came here illegaly a few years ago (stupid I know) ,and applied to be an asylum seeker. I met him after hed been in the uk for a year and we have been together for two years

when he first arrived, he was taken to an immigration centre. they let him go and said he had to go to regular appointments at police stations to sign so they could keep an eye on where he was
he stuck to this for over a year until one day he went there and was randomly taken to a different immigration centre where he was kept for 7 months until he was deported back to italy last month
his asylum claim obviously failed, he went to court many times during his time in the detention centre but his appeals never worked.

I have never experienced anything like this and I don't know where to start I just need some answers

will he be banned from the uk?
what visas can he apply for?
I am going to visit him next week, would marriage change anything or make anything easier? ( we always wanted a big traditional wedding but if it helps in this case id be happy to just have a small one for the time being)
is there anything we can do he hasn't got any criminal convictions in the uk apart from obviously entering illegaly.. I'm so confused

I'm confused. How did he enter illegally and claim asylum if he holds a valid Italian passport? :?

How did he get an Italian passport?

How could he be here 'illegally' if he has an Italian passport? Is the Italian passport a forgery?

I suspect he has possibly not been totally upfront and honest with you.

my boyrfriend has been deported

iwrote this earlier but made mistakes.
(not sure how to delete previous post as I'm new to website)
to cut a long story short:
I am a british uk citizen
my boyfriend is Kurdish (iran)
been together for two years

he lived in Italy before illegaly coming to the uk to claim asylum. when he came here he was taken to detention centre, then released with conditions
he followed conditions but one day a year later was taken to a different centre where he was held for 7 months before being sent back to Italy last month
I'm guessing hes sent back to Italy because tjats the country with his finger prints

just wondered what our rights were, is there any visas he could apply for or anything I can do to get him back here before considering and planning a very expensive and stressful move to italy

You could get married and apply for a spouse visa IF you meet ALL the requirements (min £18,600pa income and he needs English A1 test).
