ECO Email

Hi guys,

Could you please clarify when receiving an email "your application has been received at the British embassy and will now be prepared for assessment by an Entry Clearance Officer"
Does this mean the application already been given to an ECO or is it still waiting in the queue?

Probably still in the queue depending on the ECO's case load.

I receieved the same email a few days after the biometric appointment - about 9 weeks ago now, so it just meant they've got the application and we're in the queue

I am wondering, did you pay for priority service or is your application non-priority? Also if you don't mind me asking what country?

Non-priority application from Pakistan. Looking at the timelines I wish I'd chosen priority

I have also received an email similar to this yesterday

''Your online application has been received in Sheffield, UK.  Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer''

I have applied through priority from Pakistan and sent my supporting documents today, biometrics were almost a week ago.

The processing times have also seen updated for September from pakistan on the website, inshallah everything goes well

Non-priority application from Pakistan. Looking at the timelines I wish I'd chosen priority

wish I did priority application. I did non-priority and its been 16 weeks with no decision still.

Last time I emailed on 08/10/2016 for "status check", received reply for "no update available".

Contacted my local MP now

Yes, first application.

Received letter from MP that he has written to Home Office about my concerns, will contact me once he receive reply.
