Applying for family visa renewal

I had a son before getting my permanent residence and became British. So after getting my permanent residence I got married to the mother of my son. I applied for them to join me in the UK and my wife was given 33 months spouse visa and my son who is 4 years was also given 33 months (the visa is written "settlement to join parent and work permitted"). My question is can I apply for "indefinite leave to remain" for my son now without going for extension or waiting for him to stay for five years in the UK.

No. Your son will follow the same route to settlement as his mother.

Please I want to clarify something.... I'm British but When I applied 2015 to bring my wife and five years old son from Africa, they granted my 33 months with recourse to public funds.... They granted my son 33 months too.... It was written permitted to work.. The application was done together but what I don't understand is the expiry date of the visas are different.. my wife visa will expire first and my son visa will expire six weeks after my wife visa have expired. My question is do I submit my son application together with wife application for renewal/extension?
