NHS registration

Post by Artur111 » Tue Feb 28, 2017 2:26 pm

Dear forum members and respected gurus,

As we paid NHS surcharge with the application, does the spouse-visa holder need to pay anything for registration at local GP?
Will my wife pay every time when she visits GP or any of their services?

Thank you,
Artur

No, apart from the standard prescription charges.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Thank you Casa!

I'd like to ask further in order to clarify for myself.

If my wife gets sick - flu, chest infection or become pregnant, will she need to pay for NHS services or again only prescription fees?
Don't get me wrong she's healthy, thanks God almighty, but just in case if somebody's spouse requires an operation while on spouse visa or gives a birth, what fees to pay?

My wife is employed on full-time basis and pays NIC.
Thank you!
