Dependent visa

I am posting this question on behalf of my friend.
My friend's boyfriend has citizen in uk. He had an asylum visa in uk before getting citizenship. Earlier he used to be gay. And that was the case he has filed to get asylum visa. But through counselling ( from doctors and priests of his religion) now he has recovered. Now the boy's family has arranged a proposal for him ( a girl to get married because he is not gay now). My friend ( the girl) wants to know wheather she can apply for permanent residence or any other spouse visa in uk ( want to apply as a dependent) by marring this guy who is a British citizen now?
