Complaining to UKVI

Does anyone have experienced raising a complaint to UKVI? what was it like? and what effect it has on your case?

I am wondering, if you complain will they put your file on the back of the pile, as payback?

No idea I have the same query if some1 can please help. I will like to complain as we have waited for 8 months now and they are not bothered to provide an update
