English Test Confusion for Switching from T1 Entrepreneur dependant to FLR (M)

Hi experts,

My dependant will be switching from T1 Entrepreneur to FLR (M) and she has spent 3 years on T1 Dependent visa.

I am confused which test she needs to take A1 or A2 ?

As from May 2017, A2 is required after spending 2.5 years on FLR M stay in the UK and my understanding is she need A1 as this will be her initial application for FLR (M) but some advisors are saying since she has spent more than 2.5 years in the UK (although it was on PBS visa) so she needs A2 for initial FLR M application.

Please advise with the correct test option of A1 or A2 ?

Switching visa will reset her lock to zero and she'll have to apply for another FLR (M) before she'll be eligible for ILR unless she completes 10 year long residence before that.

Thanks for your advice and I also have same understanding that A1 is required but some solicitors confused me by saying that she has spent more than 2.5 years in UK thats why A2 is required as per May 2017 updates in rules!

A2 will be required when you'll apply for the extension after completing 30 months on FLR (M) if rules remain the same.
