Help regarding documents for FLR(M) form

I have been asked to submit birth certificate for both the parents of my children.
Can I use back page of indian passport as my parents name and then front bears the place of birth.
I don't have a birth certificate.

Hi,
I'm due to apply soon for my wife and the online form needs the birth cetificate of both parents.. Did HO accept passport copies or did they need the original birth certificates ? Appreciate your help ..
