Accomodation Requirement

Post by oluomo18 » Thu Feb 08, 2018 6:48 pm

Hello All,
I'm applying for a spouse visa for my wife and my 3 months old daughter.

I currently live in a one bedroom (consist of a bedroom, a lounge, k itchen, storage and toilet) flat and would like to ask if this is ok for three of us (myself, wife and my 3months old daughter) for the purpose of satisfying accommodation requirement as per spouse visa.

I'd appreciate if you could please let me know if this ok.

I look forward to hearing/receiving from you soon.

Thank you.

Providing there no other occupants, this will be adequate. If the property is rented you will need a letter from the landlord agreeing to your wife and child living there.

Many thanks for your prompt response Casa, much appreciated.

No, there're no other occupant in my flat. I live in the one bedroom flat alone by myself.

Yes, the flat is a rented flat and the managing agent have provided me with a letter stating they are happy for my wife and daughter to live with me in the flat.

Hope that's all I need together with the tenancy agreement and the floor plan?

Thank you.

Ask again if you get stuck with anything else in the application.

Employment Letter

Post by oluomo18 » Sun Feb 11, 2018 5:12 pm

Hello All,

I'd like to know if it matter when the employment letter was drafted. I have a letter from my employer confirming my employment details including my annual salary but it's dated 7th November 2017 and I'll be sending my daughter's application in late February 2018.

Can I still use this letter or should I get a new letter from my employer?

I'd appreciate your input on this.

Thank you in advance.

You should ideally get a new letter. Note that this is separate to your employment contract, which can be older than 28 days as it is relevant to the date you signed it and started working.

Letter from the Landlord

Post by oluomo18 » Mon Feb 12, 2018 2:54 am

Hello All,

I have a letter from my Landlord stating they're happy for my wife and Daughter to live with me in the flat dated September 2017 when the tenancy agreement was drafted.

Will this be ok for my Daughter's visa application in February 2018? or do I need to get the Landlord to update the date on the letter?

Thank you in advance.

Please keep all your questions about the same application in one topic. It is not necessary to start a new topic each time.

You need a more recent letter from your landlord.
