Hi i am asking for some advice please, i have made an application for spouse visa priority on the 27/04/18 biometric was taken on the 30/04/18 documents was sent to sheffield on the 3/5/18 and was received in sheffield 4/5/18 since then i havent received a confimation email or my documents back. I have rang Ukvi yesterday to check if they have receive my documents and was told that my application is awaiting decision, which confused me as i have not received any confimation email since sending my documents. Its been 8 working days(exclude weekends and bank holidays) since biometric was taken, does anyone know how long will it take to receive my documents back. Thank you

We recently applied using the priority service, with our documents arriving in Sheffield on 13th April. We received the confirmation email and documents back on 2nd May so a gap of 14 working days between the two. I generally think it's better to measure timelines from the date docs arrived in Sheffield (as sometimes there can be a big gap between biometric date and document submission), but maybe that's just me.

Same here. I applied priority as well, and enrolled biometric on 11 April. Supporting documents received in Sheffield on 17 April (tracked postal service). We received our documents back on 2 May, but only got email from UKVI on 3 May, acknowledging receipt and that application will be forwarded to ECO. So, it seems like 2 weeks-ish is the usual gap... Still waiting for decision, and keeping my fingers crossed.

I done my application in March, documents were sent end of the month and I got them on 1st May. It's also going to be 30 working days tomorrow and still under review. They give the time frame but that's all it is, not guaranteed and majority of the time, they exceed this and go over.
Goodluck !!

Yes earlier this week and was told to wait till Friday and if still awaiting decision, they will escalate it.

For priority they aim to process within 30 working days from biometrics, doesn't mean they will.
Sometimes after a decision is made they send all the support documents back especially if you used a courier service to post it to them.

I have sent documents via Royal Mail and provided a self address envelope to return documents. Hoping and praying it doesn’t take long while I awaits decision.

If they havent sent the support documents back within few days of receiving them, then expect to have them back after a decision has been made, which hopefully will be around the 6 week mark.

In that case, once a decision has been made they will post it back to you. You should receive docs just before or just after you collect your passport.
