Sending additional documents

Post by Tccm » Sun Sep 23, 2018 8:58 pm

Hello I am new here, I am applying for a spouse visa for me to join my husband in the UK, my biometric appointment is next Thursday on 27/09 and I can't change it anymore, I got all the documents however we were planning to apply earlier in the year and my husband was going to use his passport at some point so we didn't renew it and I forgot about it, and just now I realized we are applying now and his passport expires next month! 20/10. I am so worried, I don't know if it is possible to send a new one after the biometric is done or if I ruined everything. This forum has helped me a lot, thanks guys

Yes its too late and best would be to let the application go but write a covering letter to them that you will be sending soon the original/certified copy of renewed passport.

Thank you so much for the reply. And yes, that is what we were thinking he's applying for his new passport tomorrow so we can send it as soon as it is ready. It is so much to keep track of that I forgot about this one. I hope they accept it, fingers crossed. The new passport takes 3 weeks to get to my husband, I hope that is still ok to send

There is no guidance regarding passport validity which give sense that it should be at least valid at the date of application. Simply do as advised above.
