Bank Statements Panic

Post by Magnvus » Tue Nov 20, 2018 9:24 am

Good morning everyone,

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer for my specific problem.

I have requested 6 months bank statements from my bank, initially they've sent me a bunch of statement that only covered up until September, whereas I needed them to cover all the way up to November.

I asked for another set of statements which they've sent that did cover from September to November.

So now, I have two statements, both printed on bank letterhead with every bit of detail written on them dating within 28 days of application ( Date of application 14th of November, Last Statement Date 5th of November).

However, the first set of statements that arrived are printed differently, one statement per page, whereas the second set of statements are printed on front and back.

My question is, even though they are printed on bank letterhead and sent from the head office, would this difference in printing format cause the ECO to flag my statements or would it be totally fine ?

If not, should I ask a bank manager to write a letter, indicating these statements are original ? But doing so will mean his letter would be written today, 5 days after the application date.

Thank you very much in advance.

You do not need to get a letter to say they are authentic - Go into branch and get them to print again all period required of you and then get them to stamp each side of page. Or ask them if they can stamp the bank statements you already have in your hand.

The bank will not stamp these as they are originals sent from the head office through post.

And the branch won't print out statements older than 3 months. I can only get them to print last 3 months in branch which they are happy to stamp them.

But, and this is a big but, this will mean my statements will be printed after the application date, today, wouldn't it break the 28 day rule ? Or Is there such a thing ?

No it wouldn't. They will care about period covered up to application date.

I would submit the originals.
