Partly confused

Post by Atlantic » Mon Apr 22, 2019 11:18 am

Dear all members and expert

It would be a massive help If you would shed your thoughts/opinion on the following matter

I have submitted visa application for my wife to come to uk for first time.
Application submitted at VISA4UK website on 10th April
Biometric is done on 17 th April

I decided to submit supporting documents in UK. Now from April, there are changes on submitting documents. If I'm not wrong , All docs need to be submitted at VFS centre in U.K by scanned.

Now when my wife attended her biometric appointment at VFS in applicant country, THEY ONLY HAVE TAKEN FIRST PAGE OF APPLICATION ( without photograph), FINGER PRINT , and NOT THE PAGE WHICH REQUIRES HER SIGNATURE. Now that made me really confused. When asked several times, it turns out that MY solicitor has no clue at all about the whole process. That made me even more panicking.

I then have asked my wife to send her signed and declare page to me by express delivery to me in uk.

Now all the members and expert I would really appreciate ur opinion on ur experience of submitting documents at UK VFS centre

Hi

We submitted it, in same way.. In January 2019

This is quite normal process... no need to panic, you or your sponsor need to reprint complete application form (affix passport size pic on form) sign it with Appendix 2 and submit the same with other related supporting documents and send to Sheffield UK.
All the best. Thanks.

Thanks

If I take all my supporting docs to vfs and then scan and upload at VFS,
Would I still need to send it to Sheffield

Hi

Which location are you applying from?

Incase if your local VFS has scanning option open (incase of settlement application) then you may not need to send documents to Sheffield.

Now UKVI system has changed.....now you can scan and upload documents yourself or at VFS...check details on their website. In our, case they guided us to send documents to, Sheffield through sponsor.

Hi Sumit

Thank u again for a prompt reply ,,

I’m in uk and my wife is in Bangladesh.
I have submitted application online and paid nhs fees ,, then I booked appointment for her in Bangladesh. Where she has done biometric and submitted only first page of online application( which was printed). They did not take the last page where her signature is required. Also the first page requires to include a photo. Even that is not taken at VFS in Bangladesh.

I have all the support document in uk including her TB test report . I plan to submit here in uk .

I asked my spouse to send me by DHL the last page signed and photographs. If I take that to VFS in London , would they take those documents here.

Many thanks

Yes, they will gladly accept it, no problem!!!

I understand how painfully.. It can become.. If anything goes wrong from our end to H.O

So whatever I have learnt from my experience over these month if that can benefits people so why not to help... we should help each other.
Thanks

No problem and no need to say thanks..nothing extra-ordinary in it.
You should just wait for document from your wife to come...before you submit and once you receive all...
have a relook at all the documents once again. This will ensure that all documents are intact as it should be and you will be feeling confident after submission that you have submitted every bit of it accurately.
All the best.
Thanks
