Spouse visa

Post by Qidas » Mon May 20, 2019 3:40 am

Hi I got married in india 2009 the home office refused my application on grounds of bigamy my wife had a civil marriage not a civil divorce to a spouse from India in the UK
my solicitor advise I did not need do do anything as home office had records and it was illegal in both countries I gave her a Islamic divorce letter nothing official

However I am about to apply for again with a new wife all I have is the the home office letter and the Islamic tallaq letter assuming my first application is on their system stating marriage is illegal in. Both countries and was a bigumus act

Hello,

Was your first marriage annulled?

I am assuming your first marriage was officially registered in India, therefore, it had to be officially ended in India for you to re-marry?

It was registered with local registar but not court also in my refusal letter it was stated it was illegal in India my current solicitor says it should not be problem as if home refused to recognise it first time so they can't contridict themselves now I did give her a unofficial Islamic divorce in a letter .
