Residence Permit renewal

Hi
My wifes biometric card will soon expire and we need to renew it.
I have seen this question answered CR001. They say to renew the visa not the permit but my wife settlement visa only 30 days from issue to expiry.

wife settlement visa only 30 days from issue to expiry.
This was only an initial visa to enter the UK. The BRP card IS the rest of the 2.5 year visa.

She renews the visa on form FLR(M). She needs English A2 and must meet all the same financial requirements with recent evidence and must submit 2 years evidence of cohabitation in both your names.

The visa fee is £1033 plus IHS of £1000.
