Spouse Visa Dates Query

Post by T_Y_P » Sun May 26, 2019 7:18 pm

Hi All,

I applied for a settlement visa for my spouse on 22/04/2019 (date of submission of online application). The biometrics appointment was on 03/05/2019.

My spouse got her TB certificate on 02/05/2019 (documents had to be posted to Sheffield after the biometrics appointment) - i have read on these forums that documents dated after the submission of the original application are not typically considered. Would this potentially void the TB certificate as it is dated after the online application?

Many thanks for any responses.

According to official guidance the supporting documents should not be dated after the date of application but many people still got success. However, if you have applied for TB test before the date of application but received it later then you maybe automatically covered.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thank you for the swift response - are you able to direct me to where this is stipulated in the official guidance?

There is only the guidance where it says that document should not be dated after the online application. But regarding the acceptability of document dated after the date of application there is no guidance rather member's personal experiences available which can be searched through search facility.

Where Appendix FM-SE requires the applicant to provide specified evidence relating to a
period which ends with the date of application, that evidence must be dated no earlier
than 28 days before the date of application.
