Dependent Visa Extension

Post by NizK » Tue Jun 25, 2019 12:42 pm

Hi,

Using this platform for the first time and really hoping it can help me as much as it has helped many others before me.

I am currently in the UK on Dependent Visa which is expiring end of July 2019. I will be applying for an extension soon but have a couple of questions;

1) How early can I apply and also how late can I apply?
2) After the IHS payments and the application fees and online submission of the application, how many days do you have to provide/submit the supporting documents?
3) Can I continue working/change jobs while my application is in process even after the current visa expiration date?

Thanks in advance! :)

Which category dependent visa do you have, there is more than one category?? What is your spouse's UK immigration status and history?

1. Depends what visa exactly you hold. You must apply before your visa expires though.

2. It depends what service you choose and how soon you can get an appointment.

3. Continue working yes, changing jobs will be more difficult if your current visa has expired and you are still waiting for ho to process your new application.
