Leave to Remain - Extension

Hi all,

I don't know if this is the right forum to put this into. Any help and clarification will be appreciated.

Just wanted to know what the time limit is to apply for an extension for the leave to remain for an in country application? and if the extension can be applied via a priority service? i have tried to look online but haven't been successful.

The reason i ask is because, we have to travel abroad in the beginning of January for 2 weeks, but our leave to remain expires in the second week of February. can we apply after we are back from the trip? or can i apply 28 days prior using a priority service? any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I think you maybe asking about spouse visa extension. If so then you can apply 28 days before completing 30 months since arriving UK and you can use super priority service where you will pay around £800 extra for faster decision. You can either amend your travel plan and return back before visa expiry or travel after extension.
