Title deeds and link for this on ukvi site

Post by saragullu » Sat Dec 21, 2019 9:35 pm

Hello All

I am in the process of gathering documents for my husbands spouse visa.

We will be living with my parents. My parents own the home.
Would the title deeds be sufficient along with a letter stating they will allow us to stay there.?

Please can someone help me as I cannot find the link on the home office website regarding evidence for this.

Yes. If the property is on mortgage then mortgage statement as well. You may attach council tax bill if you like (optional). You can read about accomodation at below link:

Thanks. My lawyer has said just the title deeds and a letter from my parents would be fine. He hasn't mentioned the mortgage statement... :?

WhatsApp chat evidence

Post by saragullu » Sun Dec 22, 2019 12:18 am

Whats better the whatsapp chat log or screen shots of these as it looks more legit?

Whats everyones thoughts on it for the communication evidence for the spouse visa?

I used screen shots. Make sure the dates are on the screen shots. if you scroll up or down the date appears while the screen is moving, if your fast you can screen shot this before the date disappears. Otherwise, the dates appear at beginning of chat for each new day.

I provided one screen shot for each week.

I did the same too - screenshot with the date but rather than one p/w, I did 2-3 per day over a 6 month period - this can be seen as more creditable than a chat log

When printing, I chose the option of 4 per page so one page = one day

Ps a chat log isn’t enough to prove genuine/subsisting relationship. It would be helpful to have evidence of other things too eg pictures, gift receipts to one another, cards, letters, emails etc etc

You must follow your lawyer who must be charging you.

1. Please keep all your questions in one topic.

2. These are not required and would be disregarded. Anyone can write anything in a letter so they carry very little weight. If you choose to submit unnecessary documents, you would need to write one yourself etc as there is no bank of template letters. It should be based on your own circumstances if submitting.

You should submit only what HO stipulates is required.
