Hi,
I am trying to apply as a dependent of my unmarried partner on his UK ancestry visa. There is a new application form on www.gov.uk.
This webpage
(https://www.gov.uk/ancestry-visa/family-members) has info but the links are circular- it keeps leading you back to the same pages. When I select apply for a visa ( https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... 1580008315) - join or accompany a family member is the only one that fits the dependent of an ancestry visa. In the next section - the ancestry is non points based so you click next, then on the next page for visa subcategory the only one that fits the ancestry is ' your family member is working in the UK'.
I completed the application but when I go to pay the IHS it charges me only 400 pounds (? 1 year only).
I contacted the help email and paid for assistance but was told 'they cannot provide any info re: individual circumstances'.
Ultimately I am worried this is not the right visa to apply for as a dependent on the ancestry? I looked at the old site last year before it changed over and there was an obvious one for dependents on ancestry.
I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue recently and had any luck??
