Dear Member
I have few questions for my friend, one of my friend would like to apply for his wife extension, her first visa she enters into the UK is valid from 4-02-2018 to 6-11-2020.
1. My friend would like to apply for her extension 2 months before the visa expires possible? or only within 28 days?
2. His Mrs passport is going to expire in April 2021, if he applies within 28 days his Mrs passport validity will be less than 6 months, does it make any difference?
3. which form he needs to fill online to apply.
Please need your valuable advise.
Thanks in advance.

1. Extension can be applied after 30 months minus 28 days from the date of entering to UK until the last day of expiry.
2. It should be fine as it will be valid on the point of application.

Its because the initial entry clearance is granted for 33 months unlike to in country extension where you get only 30 months. Also no harm to avail the maximum length of visa by applying very close to expiry.

Your friend may also want to factor in the increment of IHS in October in deciding when to apply.

1. Whoever is earning sufficiently can use his/her income alone by keeping aside the other income.
2. Most probably will work.

1st & 2nd is inextricably needed such as his mortgage statement along with title register and noc letter respectively.
