relationship ended

Post by Wayfarer777 » Mon Nov 02, 2020 6:02 pm

Hello,

I am a British Citizen and divorced with my ex-wife 3 years ago. She came to UK on spouse visa but after our separation she left the UK and didn't return back. And also her spouse visa got expired so she cannot able to travel back if she wanted to.

My question is, As a sponsor, do I need to tell Home office that my previous relationship has ended 3 years ago?

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated!

Thanks.

You are obligated to inform them that the relationship had broken down irretrievably.

Do you know if your ex wife is still in the UK? The divorce officially completed?
You can go ahead and inform HO.

No my ex-wife is not in the UK. She left UK 3 years ago. Yes divorce is officially completed. Is it mandatory to tell home office about this? or is it just an optional? I can see here that so many people have got spouse visas approved even though they didn't inform HO.

Hence why I used "can", now that surely she is not in UK and official divorce finalised, dont see it began encumbrance to your planned matrimony.
