Curtailment of visa after abuse from foreign spouse

Post by Survivalmode » Sat Jan 02, 2021 2:07 am

Hi, I'm looking to get some advice on my situation.

I was married to an Egyptian man for 8 years, he has had a spouse visa since 2014 which has been renewed twice. The last year we have been separated due to domestic abuse. Caused by him. I have police reports and gp records as evidence.

I have just applied for a divorce and restraining order last month due to his unpredictable and aggressive behaviour.

My family have always said I should 'get him deported' for what he's done to me. I'm not sure as we have a child together.

What can I do? Do I legally have to tell the Home Office? Can he ruin my life anymore? Will he actually have to leave the UK if he has been arrested for domestic abuse?

TIA

What leave does he have? FLR or ILR?

My opinions should not be constituted as an immigration or legal advice.

Thanks for the reply.

He has further leave to remain in 10 year partner route.
