Hi, so I've posted here before regarding my employment and how it will affect my fiances immigration process. Essentially I am on a zero hours contract, but get consistent hours with the company I work for.
My question is how will my finances be analysed in the application, will the look at what I earn month to month, so if one month I earn below the required £1550 will I have to start my 6 month pay slips from scratch? Or will the fact I earned over £2k the previous month make up for the shortfall.
I read an article which stated they looked at the average of the wage over a 6 month period from non salaried employment. On average over the 6 months my wage will be around £1700, well over the threshold, however that one month on its own is below.
Does anyone have any insight as to how this is looked at by the Home Office?
Thanks in advance for any replies
"Where the person is in non-salaried employment – the level of gross annual
employment income relied upon in the application will be the annual equivalent of the
person’s average gross monthly income from non-salaried employment in the 6
months prior to the date of application (where that employment was held throughout
that period).
To calculate this annualised average for non-salaried employment in Category A the
following calculation should be used:
(Total gross income from employment held throughout the 6-month period, divided
by 6) multiplied by 12 = Income from non-salaried employment that can be counted
towards the financial requirement."
The month which is below doesn't matter as long as your annualised average amount is equal £18,600 since you are a non salaried employment and where someone is in a salaried employment then, it could affect as they usually take the lowest during in the last 6 months to get your gross annual salary but that's not the case in your situation.
