advice needed badly

Post by eha09506 » Thu Oct 02, 2008 9:39 pm

l am from zimbabwe l am a gay young lady,my partner and l have been together for seven years,l overstayed my holiday visa but approx 3yrs ago my partner and l finally contacted a lawyer in an attempt to become legal,so we could finally marry and start living,an application was put in for asylum, due to the fact it is illegal to be gay in zimbabwe we therefore could not live there as a couple,it was unsuccessful l was infact told to return to zimbabwe and to apply for entry clearance to return to the uk,in lawyers fees to date we have paid approx £8000,we have been living with my partner's dad in order to save,we have approx £10000 savings left and my partner has just started a new job, what are the chances of entry clearance been granted and how long would it take?this situation is very worrying as my family have disowned me and l would therefore be virtually on my own
