Please i need help

i everyone.
i hold a permanent residence in the UK. i would like to marry my son mum(she currently here illegally) the HO knows her presence as she had applied for compassionnate leave few months ago but we didn't hear from the HO .
My question is this
if we get married is she stand a chance to have any sort of leave to remain here?
can anyone advise me.

Possibly - but u need a CoA and she'll need to return home for the correct visa, possibly...

No - ur spouse will need to apply from her home country, unless you are an EU citizen from another State and are using EU rules.

agreed with Wanderer. There are some rare instances where you might be able to apply from within the UK but you will have to fight it out at court for sure and even then you are not assured of getting it. Get the COA, get married and apply from outside

thank you for your answers i will apply for CoA asap and take it from there.
by the way is anyone who has apply for the Coa lately? how long did it take?

If the wife has to go back, then what about the child?

OP, does you baby hold a passport and willing to travel with mother?

If not, then mom would not travel without baby.

Please keep this tread alive by keeping us up2date with CoA process and further steps you take.
